Elka’s first litter, of 6 boys and 3 girls, born December 4, 2008. Sire was SureFire Copenhagan of Parsons. This litter produced Wally, who was placed with a retired deputy. That deputy noticed how his puppy tracked everywhere and constantly, and trained him as a Search and Rescue dog. Wally is a certified Search dog with Lane County Search and Rescue, which is headed by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office. This was also when we decided that the character traits needed for making a good Search dog, were the same traits that our breeding program wanted for performance, companion, and show homes.
